About this Collection
This is the first year that Helen & Douglas House participated in the Christmas tree collection collecting trees in the Oxford area with the support of local volunteers including teams from Amey and Hilton Garden Inn who collected and recycled more than 60 trees from the 9th - 11th January.
Details regarding the monies raised will be posted here shortly.
The hospice are very grateful for all the generous donations which will make such a difference to the terminally ill babies and children and their families we support.

About the Hospice
Based in Oxford, but supporting families from surrounding counties, we care for terminally ill children at the hospice and through our outreach service. We also provide respite care for children with long term medical conditions. At Helen & Douglas House, the world’s first children’s hospice, we care for babies and children up to the age of 18.
Parents, brothers, sisters, and grandparents are all part of the Helen & Douglas House family. At the toughest time of their lives, we give families the time and space to enjoy the precious moments they have left with each other. In the midst of exhaustion and grief, we help them cope with their child’s final days.
Through this Christmas tree collection service we could raise £800 a day which would pay for 4 days of one-to-one nursing care for children like triplet Hannah, who has cerebral palsy. Hannah along with her sisters Amelia and Nicola, Mum and Dad come for regular respite stays at the hospice.
‘Coming to Helen & Douglas House makes a massive difference to us. The girls love it here and we really manage to have some good quality family time. At Christmas time at the hospice the girls have been introduced to reindeer, visited Santa and even met some beautiful pantomime princesses. It is all very magical.'
