About this Collection
The 2019 Christmas tree collection was the third year for Bury Hospice collecting Christmas trees and was a huge success with volunteers collecting 691 Christmas trees on the weekend of the 11th and 12th January raising a total of £7,989.02*.
Bury Hospice were grateful for the support of Bespoke Landscapes Ltd, Ashley Edge Gardening Services, Parcelfast, Lostock Installations, Senior Waste Removals and a great team of volunteers who helped with the Christmas tree collection.
90% of the monies raised went to Bury Hospice £7,190.12 with £798.90 allocated to the local charity Bury Tandem Club as elected by the collection volunteers.
Bury Tandem Club is for partially sighted and blind people. It is a charity of about 30 people who enjoy cycling. All of our rear riders, called stokers, have a visual impairment and range from very experienced club cyclists who have lost their sight to younger people who have discovered the joys of cycling through the club.

About the Hospice
Bury Hospice, based on Rochdale Old Road, provides care to the people of the six towns – Bury; Prestwich; Radcliffe; Ramsbottom; Tottington and Whitefield – who are suffering from life-limiting conditions.
Bury Hospice is here to offer care and support, not only to people approaching the end of life – though that is a very important part of our service – but also to their families and friends.
We offer outstanding care from in-patient to day care services and community outreach support. We aim to help Bury people to achieve the best possible quality of life at a time when this mattes more than ever.
Please support your local Hospice – we appreciate your generosity. Thank you.
