East Anglia's Children's Hospices, Cambridge

About this Collection

We will be collecting trees in PE27, PE28 and PE29 from the 11th - 12th January 2020.

Don't leave it too late. Register your tree by 4pm on Tuesday 7th January.

None of this would be possible without the support from local businesses and our fantastic volunteers who kindly give up their time over the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January. The Christmas trees will be collected, chipped, recycled and used for compost.

  • £11 could pay for a Play Specialist to spend an hour with a child during their stay at one of our hospices, supporting them in play tailored to their individual needs.
  • £16 could pay for an Art Therapist for one hour, facilitating expression of emotions and experience through art, helping children and young people to communicate issues that may find confusing, contradictory or hard to put into words.
  • £21 could pay for a Family Therapist for one hour, providing targeted and specialist psychotherapy to children, young people and families.

The hospice receives 90% of the monies raised and 10% is donated to a Stars.

About the Hospice

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our aim is for every child and family to receive exceptional medical and emotional support throughout their journey and, where applicable, in bereavement.

This year we estimate just 16% of our total costs will come from Government bodies. For EACH to continue providing free specialist medical and emotional support, we rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income. We need to raise over £5,600 per day, per hospice to enable us to continue providing this vital support. With your donation and support, together we can make a difference.

You’re the reason we’re able to continue to care for and support children, young people and their families living with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
