St. Luke's Hospice looks after people living in Basildon, Billericay, Wickford and Thurrock surrounding areas that require our support in their time of need when dealing with a life limiting illness. With your support your donation could go towards providing the following:

  • £5 - a meal for one of our patients in our In Patient Unit
  • £20 - complementary therapy session for a patient with a life limiting illness or family member to provide comfort, relaxation and stress reduction
  • £50 - a Community Nurse visit

About the Hospice

St. Luke’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people living in the Basildon, Thurrock and surrounding areas including Billericay and Wickford affected by a life-limiting illness. This often means cancer but also includes other illnesses that are no longer curable such as Heart Failure, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and includes caring for people with complex and multi-disciplinary needs. Care and support is offered through our diverse range of services which extends to carers, family members and friends before and post-bereavement.

We are a charity that needs to raise over £5.5 million this year (2019/2020) in order for local people to continue to receive our services. We’re proud to have a large volunteering family of over 250 incredible people, without whom we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
