Hospices throughout the land are facing a difficult time as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hospice income has fallen as most fundraising activities have been cancelled and their retail shops closed.
The hospice is only part-funded by the government and this income is critical to their continued provision of services. The hospice provides a front line service in the community for the very sick and their families whilst also easing the burden on the NHS. Their staff are under massively increased pressures at the is time as they continue to provide care, bereavement and mental health support.
For many, their long-term existence is threatened. If they are to provide care and critical support in the community, not just in the coming months but into the future, they need our urgent help more than ever before.
Please donate now to support your local hospice. Your consideration and support is greatly appreciated.
