About this Collection
Avoid the hassle of disposing of your Christmas tree this year and let Halton Haven do the hard work for you! We are picking up and disposing of real Christmas trees in and around Halton this year and we would welcome your donations towards the work of the Hospice.
We are hugely reliant on the support of local people and groups to help us cover our £2.5 million running costs every year. It is only thanks to the support from our local communities that we can continue caring for the people who need us so much.
Once you have registered your Christmas tree collection, our volunteers will pick it up from your home on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th January. Please leave your tree in an obvious and accessible location on these days.
Our volunteers are collecting in the following postcodes:
WA6 WA7 WA8 and WA4 6
Please register your tree by 8 January 2019 1pm.
Our friends at Display Team in Runcorn are helping us with this year’s tree collection, and we are also grateful for the continued support of St Michael’s Primary School in Widnes.
For more information about the Christmas tree collection, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01928 712 728 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you once again for your kindness.
About the Hospice
Halton Haven Hospice provides specialist palliative care, completely free of charge, to people from Halton and surrounding areas.
We cannot add days to life but we can add life to days.
We care for those who are living with life-limiting conditions. Control of symptoms and pain is paramount, as well as dealing with psychological, social and spiritual problems. The goal of the specialist palliative care we provide is the achievement of the best quality of life for patients and their families.
Each year it costs approximately £2.5 million to keep the Hospice open. We only receive around half of this money from statutory sources, leaving a shortfall of approximately £1.25 million which we must find each year. It is only thanks to the support of local people and organisations that we are able to raise this money and continue offering our services to our local community.
