About this Collection

Thank you for your interest in the Christmas tree collection.

Please look out for us again and register your tree from the 15th November 2019.

A portion of the monies raised from the Christmas tree collection will go to The Wonky Garden and the Runcorn District Foodbank.

The Wonky Garden are a local not-for-profit organisation who use gardening to bring people together, create and improve local spaces, educate local children, and improve wellbeing and people’s skills.

The Runcorn District Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust which operates 425 food banks across the UK providing emergency food and support for people in crisis.

Thank you to our friends at Display Team in Runcorn and St Michael’s Primary School in Widnes for their support with this year's collection.

About the Hospice

Halton Haven Hospice provides specialist palliative care, completely free of charge, to people from Halton and surrounding areas.

We cannot add days to life but we can add life to days.

We care for those who are living with life-limiting conditions. Control of symptoms and pain is paramount, as well as dealing with psychological, social and spiritual problems. The goal of the specialist palliative care we provide is the achievement of the best quality of life for patients and their families.

Each year it costs approximately £2.5 million to keep the Hospice open. We only receive around half of this money from statutory sources, leaving a shortfall of approximately £1.25 million which we must find each year. It is only thanks to the support of local people and organisations that we are able to raise this money and continue offering our services to our local community.
