St Clare Hospice, Hastingwood

About this Collection

St Clare Hospice is a local charity and each year we care for hundreds of people across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border. We provide free, compassionate care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers. It costs £4.6 million to run all our hospice services, including clinical, fundraising and support services. We receive limited NHS funding, so we need to fundraise the majority of this. We therefore rely on our local community to help us raise money each year so we can continue being there for local families facing one of the most difficult journeys in life.

What you donation could pay for:

  • £10 - Could pay for two stocking present for a person or their family member staying on our Inpatient Unit at Christmas
  • £20 - Could pay for a one-hour session with one of our qualified social workers to provide social, emotional, practical and psychological support for a patient, their family member or carer.

Collections will be between Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th January 2019. Please ensure your tree is outside your house by Saturday 5th before 9am to ensure a speedy collection. We suggest a donation £10.00.

Our volunteers are collecting in the following postcodes:

CM22    CM23    CM24    CM6

Don't miss out and register your tree now. Deadline for booking a collection is the 3rd January at 5pm.

We are very excited to work with Crumps Farm Development (Edviron) and their team for our first event collection. We are also excited to be working with the Kicking Dickey Pub and Christmas Wrapped Up, who are helping us in distributing leaflets.

For further information about the Christmas tree collection or if you would like to help, please contact Rachel Lines on telephone number 01279 773 734 or email rachel.lines@stclarehospice.org.uk
